UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. Rodriguez Full Card Betting Guide

This card is flying a bit under the radar after a pair of incredible cards the past two weeks, but Yair Rodriguez and Max Holloway are sure to electrify us at UFC Vegas 42 on Saturday, Nov. 13, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

While this card isn’t littered top to bottom with awesome fights, there’s still lots of value for us gamblers.

For detailed analysis, check out the Full Card Preview. For Matt and Craig’s final thoughts, watch Question Mark Kicks, live on YouTube two hours before the 1 p.m. ET card begins.

Best Bets

Cynthia Calvillo (-136) — Calvillo has only lost to the division’s best. Andrea Lee is far from that. The grappling of Calvillo and the poor takedown defense of Lee spell out exactly how this fight will play out. Calvillo by submission at +554 is good value for the bolder bettors.

Thiago Moises (-255) — There’s levels to this. And Moises is in a different ozone layer than Joel Alvarez. If this was some clash of styles, Alvarez’s grappling would give him a chance. But Moises is far too skilled on the canvas to find himself in a sneaky submission.

Song Yadong (-136) — See above, and switch grappling to striking. Song is just a superior striker, but this still should be a very fun fight.

Ben Rothwell (-163) — Rothwell sometimes goes under the radar, but he’s just a solid heavyweight and mainstay in the sport’s top promotion. He has 52 professional MMA fights, and that experience will pay dividends against the increasingly larger Marcos Rogerio de Lima.

Pop and Popcorn Fights

Miguel Baeza (-146) vs. Khaos Williams (+122) — This fight might be the best on the card, save for maybe the headliner. Baeza is the more polished striker, but power is a great equalizer and Williams has that in spades. If you must bet on it, Williams by knockout at +224 is slightly interesting.

Felicia Spencer (-305) vs. Leah Letson (+250) — This isn’t the highest level of main card fights you’ll ever see, but it’s worth watching to at least see where the women’s featherweight division is headed in the UFC.

Underdogs to Consider

Kennedy Nzechukwu (+101) — Not the biggest of dogs, but Kennedy Nzechukwu has shown what his power can do in his last two fights. Da Un Jung may be the more technical fighter, but Nzechukwu has a great chance.

Liana Jojua (+198) — The weight miss should only help the grappler in this 50-50 fight. Meanwhile, the odds seem to be drifting in Casey’s favor because of the poor cut from Jojua. This remains one of the best values on the card.

Intriguing Props

Marc Diakese by decision (+122) — Diakese is going to be the bigger fighter against Rafael Alves, and if he can use his wrestling and footwork to their highest capacity, he can withstand the “do or die” mentality of Alves.

Max Holloway by knockout (+135) — While this fight should be highly entertaining to watch, it should be relatively one-sided. Yair Rodriguez is coming off a two-year layoff and he won’t be afraid to push forward against Holloway. That just means there will be more opportunities for Holloway to find his 11th knockout victory.

Parlay of the Night

Woodson/Anglin O2.5 (-203), Cynthia Calvillo (-136), Thiago Moises (-255), Song Yadong (-136), Ben Rothwell (-163)+909
