UFC Fight Night: Vettori vs. Holland Full Fight Results
An eventful and entertaining morning in Las Vegas ended with an expected clear cut Marvin Vettori victory over Kevin Holland in a middleweight contender bout at UFC on ABC 2 on Saturday, April 10. Vettori won by unanimous decision 50-44s across the board in a dominating night and entrenched himself as a possible next opponent for middleweight champ Israel Adesanya.
It’s unclear where Kevin Holland goes from here after two losses in a three-week span where he looked lackluster. After a phenomenal 2020, Holland’s stock is suddenly in a downward spiral.
On the rest of the card, Arnold Allen improved to 8-0 in the UFC after dispatching Sodiq Yussuf in a featherweight bout; and Sam Alvey and Julian Marquez squared off in a fight of the night that ended in a Marquez submission. Marquez followed it up by calling out Kansas City Chiefs players for a game of badminton or pickleball. Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce posted on Twitter they were up for it, so once again Marquez wins the social media wars after an impressive win.
Mackenzie Dern wowed with a submission win over new mother Nina Nunes (formerly Ansaroff), and Daniel Rodriguez wowed with a beatdown of Mike Perry.
The 13-fight card ended with five finishes (three submissions and two knockouts). Matt Allen went a remarkable 10-3 on his picks compared to Craig Allen’s 6-7. Matt improves to 83-53 on the season; Craig sits at 75-61.
