The card begins at 7:30 pm ADT on UFC Fight Pass, with prelims available on Fight Network in Canada at 9 pm ADT, and the main card on TSN at 11 pm ADT.

UFC Fight Pass Prelims: 7:30 pm ADT (local) / 6:30 pm EST

 

Lightweight bout between Stevie Ray (155.5) and Jessin Ayari (155.5)

Round #1 – Ayari in the blue, Ray in the red. Distance management by both men early. Ayari catching Ray with clean right hands, commanding the centre of the cage. Ray working kicks and lands a straight of his own. Ray eats an uppercut lunging forward, hard straight right by Ayari. Ray looking to get in close, looping overhand. Ayari’s nose bloodied, evades Ray’s head kick. Ray grabs a kick, moves in close and gets caught. Muay thai clinch and both fighters exchange.

Round #2 – Touch of the gloves, Ayari commanding position again. Ray pushes forward to unload a combo and back to the edge of the cage. Ray chases the right high kick. Both men exchanging landing blows and the crowd’s into it. Ray eating shots against the cage. Looping overhand left for Ray landing on several occasions. Ayari lands another straight heading off Ray at the cage. Redness on the inside of Ayari’s leg as Ray lands a few more low kicks before the end of the round.

Round #3 – Ray landing in the early exchanges, working head and body. Ray continues to punish Ayari’s lead leg. Ayari taking a cup shot, gone unnoticed by referee Gallant. Ray continues to close the distance and landing, Ayari with pressure of his own and superior cage control. Ray chases another overhand left and this time Ayari with great head movement to avoid the strike. Ayari with a right uppercut, heading off the Scottish fighter. One minute left and both men swinging hard. Both men bloodied, continuing to land and it’s Ray offering to get the action going. Very close and competitive fight.
