UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Till Full Card Betting Guide

After a mini-hiatus, the betting guide returns for an exciting, albeit small, nine-fight UFC Vegas 36 card featuring middleweights Derek Brunson and Darren Till on Saturday, Sept. 4, at the UFC Apex.

For Matt and Craig’s full analysis and predictions, check out the Full Card Preview. Also, check out Question Mark Kicks for final thoughts and picks, live on YouTube at 11:30 a.m. ET, two hours before the 1:30 p.m. card begins.

Best Bets

Charles Jourdain (-182) — In this possible Fight of the Night against Julian Erosa, “Air” Jourdain’s cardio, standup game and takedown defense should give him plenty of routes to victory. To add a bit of spice to the bet, you can even try out the Jourdain by knockout at +115, although that doesn’t offer enough value for my blood.

Molly McCann (-113) — The slightest of favorites over Ji Yeon Kim, “Meatball” has more areas where she can have success in this fight. If McCann can close distance and get on the inside of Kim’s range, she’s going to control this fight.

Pop and Popcorn Fights

Jack Shore (-580) vs. Liudvik Sholinian (+418) — I’m fairly confident Jack Shore will topple his short-notice opponent. But Sholinian is far too talented to be this big a dog. This is a fight where you take notes on the newcomer, because he’s going to be around awhile.

Khalil Rountree (+134) vs. Modestas Bukauskas (-160) — Rountree’s inconsistency is scaring me off this fight. Bukauskas should be the favorite, but he’s far too steep against a fighter like Rountree who could put it all together on any given night.

Derek Brunson (+146) vs. Darren Till (-174) — I know everyone hates when the main event makes its way to this section of this guide, but this fight is very difficult to predict. Darren Till is the type of fighter that should give Brunson troubles. But Till’s recent run has been less than stellar. Till by knockout at +131 is a decent prop bet if you’re looking for action and the dog at +146 isn’t terrible either.

Underdogs to Consider

Dalcha Lungiambula (+141) — Regardless of how you feel this fight may play out against Marc-Andre Barriault, this fight is more of a coin flip than the odds suggest. At the end of the day, betting is entertainment, and who better to root for than Lungiambula and his brick hands?

Luigi Vendramini (+130) — Paddy Pimblett is getting plenty of hype leading up to his long-awaited debut. But Vendramini is a very talented 25-year-old with three fights in the Octagon under his belt. He’s exactly the type of fighter who can take advantage of his opponent’s Octagon jitters with a volume-heavy approach that packs plenty of punch.

Intriguing Props

Alex Morono by decision (+177) — Despite taking this fight against David Zawada on short notice, Morono’s skillset is going to challenge Zawada in a lot of areas. Morono isn’t exactly known for his finishing power and if he can keep this standing up, he should pick his way to a decision victory.

Tom Aspinall inside the distance (-141) — This guy is a born finisher. All 10 of his victories have come by stoppage and whether it happens on the feet or the mat, Aspinall is destined for a finish against the scrappy, young Sergey Spivac.

Parlay of the Night

Charles Jourdain (-182), McCann-Kim O2.5 (-403), Tom Aspinall (-240)+173

For the bold, add Alex Morono (-128) to boost odds to +388.
